Xtreamer Support System

There are a lot of misconceptions on Xtreamers capabilities to support HD audio. Some people (mainly connected to our competitors) even go as far as to claim that our player is "crippled".

It is not true.

The original Xtreamer is perfectly able to play HD audio files by downmixing them. The issue was the passthrough which we could not support due to the licensing issues and chipset limitations imposed by the manufacturing.

But all the models from 2010 are perfectly able to handle any DTS MA and Dolby True HD files up to 7.1 channels from the 2.4 firmware version.

The only problem for you would be actually finding files that would have 7.1 channels HD audio anywhere outside of demo videos. And of course you'll need to buy a very expensive amplifier and a set of expensive speakers. But you can't blame us for that, can you?
