Wow ! This is a very informative answer.
If I remember well, it was announced to be released in 2011.
Are SyncX and the Camera in the same boat ?

Sorry, that's the best answer I can give you at the moment.

Camera was ready but in the end we decided not to release it. We had our reasons.

As for Sync, it's very high on our priorities and will be made. We already tested some software betas a few months ago.
But we don't want to release it before we are happy with it. As simple as that.

I need a personal cloud now. Should I wait a bit or buy Synology now ?

I can't give you an ETA right now.
We will not release this product until we are completely happy with it. It might take a couple of months.
