Hi TheHijacker,

I have squeezebox server installed from your installer.
when I enter the SB server it announce about new version (7.5.1)
Should I upgrade it , or is it needs to be when an upgrade is available on your installer ?

I see you added version 7.5.1. Should I uninstall 7.5.0 first, or can I just upgrade?

Uf. I don't do any backups for this package. It has its own MySQL inside and not even sure how to login to it and what to backup.

If you will upgrade it will first delete old one and install new one with some default setting. You would have to redo all the setup, including songs scan again.

I think the FlipFlips GUI has a internal upgrade option inside. Check it out and see if you can do the upgrade from inside.

Also if 7.5.0 is working fine for you I see no reason to upgrade. Not sure whats new in this latest version and if its worth updating.

Trial and error - uninstalling 7.5.0 first is requiered.

As far as user and pw: admin/sysadmin seems to work fine.

Upgrade should also work. But it might take long time due to size of package.

First I upgraded. I noticed that when the package was downloaded, ss 7.5.0. was restarted, but now the server was unreachable. Both packages showed up in Installer, too. So I deleted them both, then installed 7.5.1. Works fine. Had to do a scan indeed, but hey - that's ET's work; I was enjoying a lovely day outside.....

Currently, there's Squeezebox Server v7.5.2 with separate packages as follows:
> Debian/Ubuntu Linux (32MB)
> Linux RPM (32MB)
> Perl Source Code (tar.gz. - 49MB).

Which one should we use for eTrayz ?

I just want to try out/use the Squeezebox Server on eT.
I have the v7.5.1 intalled recently with the APP Installer and was notified about the new version.
By the way: for some reason the Squeezebox Server doesn't find my Squeezebox Radio.

There is an outdated version of ssoez availabe and the latest one but for trunk version of server.

    * For Squeezebox Server 7.6-trunk r30936:
          o for Marvell Orion/Kirkwood based systems (e.g. TS-219, GuruPlug, eTRAYz)
                + ssods-4.11-arm.tar.gz (29MB)
    * For Squeezebox Server 7.5.2:
          o for Marvell Orion/Kirkwood based systems (e.g. TS-219, GuruPlug, eTRAYz)
                + ssods-4.9.1-arm.tar.gz (24MB)

I will wait a bit for final 7.6 then do the update (it's a long procedure).

Hi,

I've tried to upgrade the sbs package to 7.5.2 and I got an error.
So I decided to uninstall 7.5.1 and then download and install 7.5.2 - and failed in that to.

I'm attaching the screenshots of the errors maybe the HJ or anyone else have a solution.

at the moment I'm stuck without SBS and can't install any version.

your help will be most appreciated.

Odd. Type this in APP Installer Console:

rm /home/sysadmin/WWW/installer/epkg/squeezeboxserver.7.5*

This will delete all the corrupted squeezebox packages he downloaded. Then redownload it and installation should work. When APP Installer is working (Loading dialog), do not interrupt it.

It looks like a problem when you first downloaded the package it didn't download completly. Now he is trying to unzip it but fails.
