Before upgrading package - 1.0.5-1.0.7 PLEASE READ

Due to improper folder struture in older firmware there can be problems with upgrading to new version of packages. I've made a script that should fix them.

Type this in SSH as user root:

sh -c 'cd /home/tmp && wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4598877/installer/extra/initdfix.sh && chmod 777 initdfix.sh && ./initdfix.sh && rm initdfix.sh'


Terribly sorry about this. But this is one time thing you need to do and by using the new packages will allow you to flash firmware to new version without losing data of what you previously installed from APP Installer.

For those that don't know how to use SSH or not familliar to use it you can download an APP Installer package called Fix for epkg autorun folders. Find it in APP Installer under Network & System Tools category. After you install it just run it once and then you can uninstall and remove it.

It's not too late.

Run this command and reinstall application.

Nothing wrong if it shows error. Folders will still be generated.

Hello,

I came across the AppInstaller by coincidence. After reading here in the board, I was stoked, what is possibly with this little "NAS". Great work!

I wanted to use it also as an DLNA-Server for my PS3 an run into the same problem, that autostart couldn't be set for EasyDLNA. For MediaTomb and Twonk it works.

Tried to run the "Fix for epkg autorun folders", althoug I still have version 1.0.5. But now the problem is worse: Cannot even start EasyDLNA or then uninstall it.

Thought about reinstalling the whole AppInstaller. Is it possible by simply deleting the installer-folder an then copy it there again?

You need 1.0.7. APPs will not run on early version of firmware.

Well, Twonk works on my 1.0.5 ;-)

How can I clean uninstall/install the AppInstaller? Simply delete install folder and then unpack the package there again?

Why do you want to reinstall it? Makes no sense. As I said before. Upgrade to 1.0.7.
