First of all: I really love the app-installer. :)

I installed sickbeard, but I am not able to start it by using /etc/init.d ; when I look a bit further the program 'daemon' is not found.

What can I do to get this working?

Updated it to the latest version by downloading the source and overwriting the installation forder on the etrayz - seems to work fine, and the messages on any action are more informative/complete

Thanks for the reply, but this does not solve the daemon-that-can-not-be-found-problem, :D

I know pven... This was not addressed to you spcifically but in general to other users of Sickbeard if they wish to update their installations. You tried just using the 'start' buttun in the PHP installation I guess? After ver. 3 of the script, I beleie it is doing a proper installation - in any case I've done it on 2 separate etrayz without any problems. Try uninstalling/removing and installing it again?

What about when you run it directly with:
python /usr/local/share/sickbeard/SickBeard.py

:D

When I run it directly it works, when I use /etc/init.d/sickbeard to stop/start it, it won't work. I am not doing anything with PHP at all. My only problem is a missing program/script called 'daemon'. I use the most recent version of the app-installer (1.5). :ugeek:

I have rather fresh 1.0.5 beta fw installed. Did install of sickbeard from zero and it starts without any problem.

Make sure you are using alpha.435-3 version.

Thanks for the reply! I removed it, and re-installed it already. When I start it manually with Python it works fine; however: I want to start it automatically. (I am using etrayz-fw 1.04.)

I am currently using alpha.435-3, looks ok?

Since I use sickbeard, I get the following errors in SABnzbd:

Quote

ERROR:

File "/opt/share/SABnzbd/cherrypy/_cprequest.py", line 579, in run

TimeoutError

How can I fix this?

SABnzbd is working great, even SSL is working! :(

What I still don't understand is that sickbeard still won't start, looks like SABnzbd is starting by using the same daemon and that is working. :|

SickBeard is not a usenet client. Its just app that downloads NZB files automaticly for preset TV episodes.

Well you need a client that will know what to do with NZB files, so yes, you need to use it with usenet client.

Hi all,

unfortunately I cannot get sickbeard to start up. It won't work via the 1.5 installer and if start manually it prompt me for a password. Sysadmin is not accepted. Is there another password I do need?

Thanks
Stefan
